In honour of Master/Acharya Daphne Bigcas

(the way my limited mind recollects the topic)

Thank God I was blessed with enough understanding to participate the two lecture nights given by M. Daphne in March 2009, Helsinki. She was on her way to teach in Italy.

M. Daphne mentioned about tithing, giving in advance where you need to go or what you need to do, so she paid her flight ticket to Finland herself. M. Daphne had just been lecturing somewhere privately to a Royal Family. She taught us about the importance of scheduling one’s life. A lesson that I think I am only starting to get now. I am sure she lived hers to the dot as Hannele’s email earlier today said that MCKS trusted M. Daphne to be the only woman who could successfully supervise the construction of the Arhatic Yoga Ashram in India.

In Singapore Convention (Wesak 2011) M. Daphne taught about the weaknesses and virtues which she said that Master used to give as a separate five day course. M. Daphne mentioned her mother was present at the Convention…may the souls that formed her family in this life be blessed with Divine light, love and power at this moment their daughter chose to move on. I was also immensely blessed to have given the chance to have participated in M. Daphne’s Health Expo troops by doing sample healings for the visitors.

I think it was also M. Daphne who lectured on an online video that we only pray God when we really really want something (probably instead of listening the voice of our Higher Souls telling us what we actually need.)  I think I’ve heard Hannele mention MCKS used to use M. Daphne to double check His scanning because she was so good at it. If I am not mistaken, the ability to scan accurately is said to be related to the ability to LISTEN.

What a remarkable lady living MCKS’ teachings. Hopefully, somewhere in time my soul can shine a fraction of the light what Master Daphne Bigcas’ light is. I hope this text has been written with enough of sincerity, humility and gratitude.

The first lesson learnt by Acharya Daphne:
List the 3 purposes of your life.

What are yours?
1.
2.
3.

Productivity

“Follow simple instructions”

Anyone who has taken a Pranic Healing course will have heard these words. Follow simple instructions. This captures perfectly one of the things I love about Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga – on the winding, long, sometimes thorny path that spiritual development can be, we are spared a lot of trouble thanks to the people who went before, made the mistakes, tried out a lot of various ways and can now help us make at least fewer mistakes. We are given instructions for how to help ourselves and the people around us to be more healthy, we are given tools for relationship improvement, for material abundance, for protection and empowerment.

But still there are people who attend the workshops, yet keep having the same problems that they had years before. Of course, sometimes the law of karma is at play, and then things become more complicated. But sometimes it simply of case of not doing what we know we should: follow simple instructions.

As an experiment, try scanning the basic chakras of the people who, year after year, say “I really should eat healthier/exercise more/meditate more/do more self-healing/stick to my arhatic routine/you name it. You’ll notice they are most likely very weak. Mine is a prime example of this at times, and those are the times when I find myself not getting anything done. If you’ve done even the Basic Pranic Healing workshop you’ll know that the solution to this is to cleanse and energise the basic chakra. The basic chakra is the centre for dynamic activities, the chakra of action (“The Chakras and their Functions”, Master Choa Kok Sui, 2009, p. 35).

But here’s what I’ve run into – in order to be more productive I need to strengthen my basic chakra. In order to do that I need to actually get my salt water bucket and do some healing. But with a weak basic chakra I’m less likely to do that and more likely to watch Big Bang Theory for three hours straight. This makes me feel like I’m wasting the gift that it Pranic Healing.

A dear friend of me once suggested I watch some videos of David Allen, a very popular American productivity consultant. Imagine the basic chakra on that guy! It took me a good few months to actually get down to watching that video – somehow I didn’t seem to have 20 minutes to watch the video… But today I did, and Mr Allen had some very good tips on how to get around that procrastination. I have a feeling I’ll be watching this video many many times…

Of course, watching this video will not remove all procrastination, but it’s another tool on the toolbox. The way I see it, in taking on a project like my own procrastination, it’s a step-by-step process, where I can use many different tools, one after another, and they’ll all support each other. I can watch the video and be inspired by it, then use that inspiration to energise my basic chakra, then use that energy to start that list that David is talking about, then use the sense of control to be calm enough to do a meditation, then use that energy to do a couple of things off that list, which will in turn strengthen my basic chakra. And the plan is to keep going like this. With that flow going I will more likely do the other things I’ve been “shoulding” or wanting for so long – exercise, removing obstructing thought forms, reading The Lord of the Rings, doing self healing so I wouldn’t need my glasses anymore, really progressing on my PhD, writing in this blog more often, doing kriyashakti for the right partner to have a family with and so on and so forth.

We’ll see how it goes!

Personal Shopper

Moderation and non-excessiveness is one of the virtues. I wish I mastered it to a higher degree as sometimes I catch myself shopping to fill in an emotional gap. Luckily I have improved a lot.

Hopefully other pranic healer ladies are smarter than me and do not have the tendency to boost their self-esteem by shopping when feeling down or as a means to relaxation, or trying to postpone something that needs to be done…
Now a days I tend to invoke for protection from any shopping thought forms before stepping into a store. I also ask GMCKS to be present as a “Personal Shopper”. It works really well! Many times when I’ve been about to touch something I hear GMCKS a voice in my head “you don’t need it” or “you already have a similar blouse/bag/jewellery”.
In addition to saving money, by invoking before shopping you can save time. It helps heaps to invoke to be guided to the things you really need and that they will be on discount or reasonably priced. This also prevents you stealing time from yourself and spending time wandering around different shops in excess. Window shopping/retail therapy is still a form of stealing; namely stealing time from yourself.
I have actually stood in the fitting room three times during different weeks trying on the same jeans. I scanned if I can buy them and the answer was always the same: “no”.
When I told this to my mom she said I should scan more often. I also now understand much better why I wasn’t allowed. A person that previously gave me hard time had similar jeans and having a pair might have sub/consciously reminded me of this not so nice person.
I suppose it also depends one’s profession how many nail polishes or pairs of shoes you need. My best guess would be that people pay a lot less attention to each other’s accessories as they are too busy being concerned of their own decoration.
Of course it’s nice to treat yourself every now and then. We dot have to be ascetics as we live in the middle of the society, not in a monastery up in the mountains. However, in GMCKS’ terms it would probably have to be a REtreat to be a really worthwhile investment in his book.
When it’s time to leave your physical body “you can’t take even underwear with you”, as GMCKS put it. The real sources of joy in life are much longer lasting than a pair of jeans 🙂

Wholesome Spiritual Race

Master Choa Kok Sui said the spiritual development is not a competition. But maybe it could be taken as a spiritual race with our higher self and lower self.

Master Glenn Mendoza lectured about how there is this tiny moment in between choosing the right thing and the not so right thing to react. You basically know what is the correct behaviour (probably most of the time “let the matter pass”), emotion (just hum a couple of OMs) or thought (may person/situation be blessed…). But when the situations come the primary reaction might be too far from the guideline.

The race is a more productive one with yourself and GMCKS did give us tools. Already in Basic Pranic Healing you get a snapshot on the virtues as well as the yin and yang golden rule. The arhatics have a whole arsenal to enhance the control of the higher soul over our lower nature with its flaws and all. We were made I the image of God so we have a seed of that purity within us but it doesn’t grow on its own.

Loving your neighbour as you love yourself can be manifested better. A good competition can be beneficial for the development on many different levels. When you are pushed in a constructive atmosphere (group effort with fellow pranic healers) the challenges tend to be easier to tackle and you can share experiences. Love is much stronger than pride. So let us remember to keep the focus on self growth but also both give a hand and  be ready to receive help on the way to the mountain top.

Enjoy the race!

Twin Hearts Meditation – like exercising, only spiritual

Often I see people who experience Twin Hearts Meditation (also called Planetary Peace Meditation) for the first time, and are ecstatic about it, they immediately feel the love and elation and power. Then there are those people, like me, whose first reaction is ‘that was nice, I feel sort of relaxed although my mind was racing the whole time’. If I hadn’t seen the effects regular practice of Twin Hearts has, I probably wouldn’t have continued at all. In fact, I almost didn’t. My meditation was sporadic, every time I went to a group meditation I made a decision to start meditating regularly, and a month or so later I realised I hadn’t. It was exactly like my plans to start exercising more. Every time I for some reason manage to get my running shoes on, I promise myself I’ll do it more often, and then I didn’t. Yet.

Then the Finnish Pranic Healers and Arhatic Yogis started doing a weekly meditations via Skype, and it was a lot easier to stay regular. A bit like joining an exercise class, you’re more motivated to go because the hassle of letting people know why you’re not coming makes it easier to just go 🙂 Especially as all you have to do is turn on Skype!

First benefit: the nice feeling of being in a group.

Second benefit: doing meditations in between the Skype meditations got a lot easier. Close door, sit down, close eyes, press play. And remember physical exercises before and after the meditation, especially if you spend your days sitting down at work etc. Just move or rotate all parts of your body (eyes, neck, arms, torso/spine, hips, elbows, wrists, fingers, knees, ankles) 12 times each (in both directions when rotating) and do semi-squats 50 times. This is to prevent the energy from getting stuck. Don’t try to avoid this step, you might thing you don’t need it because you’ve done other kinds of meditation before, but it’s not worth the risk of energy blockages, trust me.

Third, and by far the best benefit: increased energy levels, increased calmness and happiness, increased effectiveness, motivation for general life improvement, and so on and so on. It’s something that’s difficult to explain, as the benefits are not simple, definable things. It’s more of a feeling of being more aware, more alive. It’s about being able to understand things, see connections, be inspired! It’s about not wasting time complaining but finding ways to make the best of everything, and once in that mode, it’s hard to see why you’d do anything else, ever! Of course there are down-days too, nothing’s an eternal fix 😉 But even the down-days can be useful, you’ll see 🙂

But again, it’s not always an instant result (although I have seen that happen too, for some people. Rare though) Like with any exercise, it’s tough at first, you get frustrated when you don’t see the results you want, but once you get into it you don’t really know how you managed without it before. So a small warning – if you do decide to take up this kind of powerful meditation as a regular practice, be prepared to make it a lifestyle, as it won’t stay a ‘once in a while’ thing once you start getting the benefits of it. And it’s brilliant!

Crystals are a girl’s best friend

Self defence

These days spiritual people rarely retire from society and spend their time meditating in remote mountains. Today’s spiritual people often live in cities, surrounded by people, active in society, putting themselves ‘out there’ to promote awareness and help people understand the ‘feelings’ they might not understand. The same goes for anyone openly involved in and promoting alternative health.

This also means we are often under attack from those who find alternative health and spirituality bad or offensive or even dangerous. And thoughts and speech are very real, they are made up of energy and they affect the person they are targeted at, not just on an emotional level, but can also cause problems on a physical level in the long term. People who actively speaks up about these issues, especially those who take the step ‘out of the spiritual closet’ and openly discuss these things with people who aren’t always positive about it, are often faced with extremely harsh comments, negative speech and even accusations, name calling and ridicule. Sometimes when people get more sensitive, the whirlwind of energies around them can become very overwhelming, you feel, see and hear things that all demand your attentions, and it can be very tiring.

Luckily we have the tools for protecting ourselves from such intentional or unintentional attacks! I can’t count the times I’ve used the techniques I learned from the MCKS Psychic Self Defense workshop and book to keep myself protected from negativity, intentional or, more often, unintentional. There are other psychic self defines methods and books too, but these are the ones I have found most useful. Working in a restaurant/bar for several summers I’ve been very grateful for being able to protect myself from the emotional outbursts that may happen there. And even when nothing seriously unpleasant happened, I felt less tired, less annoyed and found it easier to leave work behind when I went home!

When talking to friends and strangers about Pranic Healing, about spirituality, I’m also incredibly grateful to have the tools to keep me calm and happy so that I can stay as clear minded and loving as possible in what I say. Knowing what my thoughts and what I say can do to other people, both positive and negative, I try my hardest to make sure I keep the positives outweighing the negatives. Keeping myself shielded from external unnecessary and harmful thoughts and feelings helps me keep my cool more effectively and gives me more time to focus on dealing with my own character building. This does not mean I’m oblivious to what’s going on around me. The best way I can describe the feeling is like watching a favourite film you’ve seen several times – you still get slightly emotionally engaged with the film, you feel the ups and downs of the characters, but the ‘bad’ things don’t drag you down, you just sort of observe yourself feeling these things. This is the effects I feel when wearing energy shields or other forms of energy protection.

And these are not complicated things we can do, they start from something as simple as discreetly crossing your arms and/or legs, which closes off your aura and protects you from the thought forms coming from other people or the surroundings. Other techniques require basic knowledge of Pranic Healing, and are incredibly effective in protecting us from simple things like the tiredness and tension of fellow travellers during the morning commute to defending us against very powerful thought forms that affect whole countries and societies.

Another simple thing to do is just projecting love and kindness towards anyone who is being negative towards you, whether it be as an intentional attack, or just their own emotions spilling over on you. This helps neutralise the negative emotions and helps defuse the situation easier. NOTE: this of course while still maintaining your own physical safety, walking away from dangerous situations, getting help when needed etc. This is very important.

“Gör det där som du brukar göra”

Photo on 2014-01-017

Men icke denna gång.

ABOUT SEEING CLEARLY

Many people are highly interest in becoming clairvoyant. In the beginning of my Pranic Healing path one of my main interests was clairvoyance. Having advanced a tad more on the path this urge has subsided greatly and here are some reasons why.

Not all that is out there is nice. Even if you can see something what more is there which remains “outside” your field of vision? It might completely change your interpretation if you saw that too. Sure butterflies are nicer to look at than spiders but that doesn’t cancel out spiders from existing.

Master Stephen Co told about a clairvoyant who provides services to celebrities in CA. This person always asks for a Pranic Healing before using her skills. Otherwise what is within her aura smudges the ability to see clearly the other person’s aura. An incorrect interpretation might ruin people’s lives. A friend’s partner asked help from a clairvoyant who told that my friend was cheating his partner. When my friend called the clairvoyant to rectify the details she got very upset and kept just claiming that her clairvoyance is accurate because she is a clairvoyant in 4th generation in her family. She seemed to be ok with taking on the karma of ruining people’s relationships.

Our beloved regular visiting teacher Vivek from the Netherlands told us that he sees more clearly mainly when he is giving the courses. There is a good purpose so his abilities are enhanced in order to allow safer and cleaner environment to practise during the courses.

There’s no shortcut to clairvoyance and the skill is hardly granted overnight. Do your eye exercises + local sweeping and practise Twin Hearts Meditation regularly. The pleasant fact with Pranic Healing is that everything has been tested for your safety and advantage: by following the simple rules your clairvoyance will with time develop safely and steadily. Also by practising the virtue of honesty and non-lying and refraining from twisting the truth verbally or in our thoughts allows us to see more clearly both internally and externally.

In the book The Origins of Modern Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, GMCKS writes that even the best of the best clairvoyants see only with 70% accuracy. That still leaves a failure rate of 30%. I don’t know about you, but for sure I am quite far from the best of the best. I truly trust there is a VERY good reason why Higher Clairvoyance has as a prerequisite to practise Arhatic Yoga level 1+2 courses first.

GMCKS has also stated that the ability of being clairvoyant has nothing to do with how evolved a soul is. Some people are good at drawing others in cross-country skiing or surfing. When GMCKS started he wanted two other persons to verify his scanning to be able to give an accurate result. So, let us keep practising scanning and let the ability of clairvoyance develop naturally!

Written by one who is still practising seeing air prana and quite happy not to see everything that we carry with us. When it’s the right time and the ability will serve a good purpose I know something more will be revealed to me 🙂
